Dakota Johnson admits that she finds it eerie and awkward to watch herself on screen. “It was an eerie experience,” she told a magazine. “I’ve never seen anything like it – but I’m really not that objective! It wasn’t long after we finished shooting so I remember every scene and all the difficulties. Seeing it again was sometimes painful. I don’t know how to describe it, but it looks very beautiful.”
Although the sex may be boring, Dakota said she’s not afraid to do anything and she’s willing to take risks. “I didn’t have any problem doing anything. The secret is, I have no shame. Reading the book, I found myself more interested in the ways they were breaking each other down emotionally than the sex scenes.”

It definitely wasn’t what I expected. Before I read the book, I thought it was just going to be s&m book. Me and my husband wanted to read something different. The more I read I found myself profoundly interested in the dynamic of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. Mr. Grey because of his disturbed past and Ana because of her lack of self esteem. We finally watched the movie today. Although it was very intense, I didn’t find it sexy. One scene that stuck out to me was Anastasia crying after being humiliated and tortured by Mr. Grey. It struck a cord in me, I saw it as a metaphor for how tortuous love can be. You watch a lot of romance movies and get this cookie cutter image of love. When in reality love is very painful. You don’t always get the person that you imagined. Thank you for making this amazing book come to life
