They’re poised to feature in the eagerly anticipated screen adaptation of 50 Shades of Grey, but Rita Ora and Dakota Johnson enjoyed a happy and highly unexpected reunion over the weekend.
The two co-stars crossed paths on Sunday at the Glastonbury Festival, where they were amongst the celebrity revellers at a wet and muddy Worthy Farm.
Commemorating their chance meeting, the 23-year-old singer posted a fun snap on Instagram in which they are joined by British fashion designer Stella McCartney.
An accompanying caption reads: ‘Reunited with my ladies @stellamccartney #dakota #arrgghhhhhhhh.’
Rita will make her acting debut in the forthcoming feature based on the first of author E.L. James’ 50 Shades trilogy, taking the role of Mia Grey – central character Christian’s adopted sister.
In what amounts to her first leading role, Dakota – the daughter of Miami Vice star Don Johnson – will play Anastasia ‘Ana’ Steele.
Despite huge interest in the film, Don recently claimed the film will be a mere footnote on his 24-year-old daughter’s career.
He told The Times: ‘(It will be) a blip on her career, because she’s going to be a significant actress for many years to come.’
Dakota travelled to South West England for the Glastonbury Festival as she continues to enjoy time off after shooting her latest movie, Black Mass, on location in Boston with Johnny Depp.
Meanwhile Rita, who wore a bizarre Friesian cow inspired ensemble at the festival on Saturday, recently confessed to Flare Magazine that she’s an Instagram addict.
‘I’m on it as soon as I wake up. I scroll with one eye open. It’s like a drug,’ Rita admitted.
Speaking about why she likes to photograph details of her day she explained: ‘For me, it’s like, look forward. You don’t have to look side to side.
‘If you start looking from side to side, you get confused.’
